Millard Tydings was a famous Democratic political leader respected by both parties in Maryland who became Speaker of the Maryland House in Annapolics and later became a U.S. Representative and a U.S. Senator. There are things in Maryland named after him such as the Millard E. Tydings Memorial Bridge.
